
JIMENA CASASOLA
Jimena Casasola is a 23-year-old artist from Costa Rica, currently living in California continuing her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. She received her BFA in Dance Performance and a BA in Psychology from Chapman University, where she was also Co-President of the Hip-Hop Team. She has set work and taught in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the United States. She toured with Intrigue Dance Convention as a professional assistant, has worked as an assistant to various choreographers around the US. She is currently an apprentice to the Los Angeles based performance company, MusEffect. She has trained under professionals such as Ali Pfleger, Dwight Rhoden, Peter Chu, Julianne O’Brian, and Jessica Starr. Jimena’s background on psychology blends her love and passion for dance with well-being, where she seeks to build a supportive environment for her students to explore, grow, and share their unique individual voices.
Encouraging but also self-driven! I am all in for support and energy, but you will get the most out of my class when you take ownership of your work and ambition.
