JESSE KOHN
Jesse Kohn is a dancer, choreographer, and educator from New Jersey that is currently studying Dance at Chapman University in Southern California. Jesse is the founder of Journey Dance Connection which is an organization that connects artists with opportunities through multiple platforms such as classes, showcases, and seminars. As a dancer, Jesse has had the opportunity to work with multiple choreographers throughout his dance career including Monika Felice Smith, Will Johnston, Jamale Graves, and more. He has been fortunate to dance in an off-broadway production of Over the Rainbow, and other performance opportunities throughout his career. His teaching ideology is inspired by his experience as a dancer, and focuses on the mental aspect of dance, finding our “why,” and growing in a comfortable learning environment. Throughout Jesse’s teaching career he has had the opportunity to teach across the country including California, Alaska, North Dakota, New York, Pennsylvania, and more.
BIO
My class is all about individuality, making choices, and discovering new ideas about yourself to take into other classes. I will try to make you laugh, encourage new ways of moving through choreography, and then probably try to make you laugh again. I can't wait to dance with you soon!
