Nanea Yu was born and raised in San Diego, California, where her love of dance began and grew through studio and competitive training. Nanea has continued her education at Chapman University and is pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance performance with a minor in Creative and Cultural Industries. Nanea has established herself commercially as a dancer through music videos and live performances. She has most recently performed in the showcases of Reconstruct, Club Jeté, and Mashup. Newly, Nanea has premiered her choreographic works in non-profit, professional dance companies, Affinity and Devotion The Movement, as well as stages such as Journey Dance Awards and the theatres of Chapman University. Last summer, Nanea had the privilege of collaborating with renowned choreographer Tony Testa as a choreographer's assistant for Congress. At a collegiate level, Nanea looks forward to expanding her artistic horizons, delving deeper into her choreographic process, and exploring various expressive mediums to enhance her craft further.
