Jimena Casasola is a 22 year old artist from Costa Rica, currently living in California continuing her career as a professional dancer and choreographer. She is currently pursuing a BFA in Dance and BA in Psychology at Chapman University, where she is also involved as Co-President of the Hip Hop Team. She has set work and taught in Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, and the United States. She toured with Intrigue Dance Convention as a professional assistant, has worked as a personal assistant to various choreographers around the US, and is an apprentice to the Los Angeles based performance company MusEffect. She is trained under professionals such as Ali Pfleger, Dwight Rhoden, Peter Chu, Julianne O’Brian, and Jessica Starr. Jimena’s background on psychology blends her love and passion for dance with well-being, where she seeks to build a supportive environment for her students to explore, grow, and share their unique individual voices.
